A Personalised Touch from Angel Imagery

angel_imagery.jpgIn the months leading up to Christmas Dawn Williams, a part-time warranty administrator from the Pontardawe area, relaunched her website Angel Imagery. This is her second attempt on-line; her previous site generating few orders. The new site was designed by Thomas Web Design and incorporates an extended range of products such as personalised mugs, calendars, clocks, hand-towels, keyrings, door plaques, book marks, cushions, umbrellas and many more items.

Dawn has a keen interest in digital photography and identified a potential market for developing such personalised gifts to the domestic market. All products are made in-house by Dawn, using a dye sublimation process, which uses high heat and solid dyes to produce photo lab-quality images. Dawn has purchased much of the equipment including printers and a heat press from the USA.

The website features a shopping cart that Dawn can update with any number of new products, or even product ranges. The site, from a user perspective, is easy to use and allows people to post opinions on a product, or to view recommended products. The website is currently linked to the Pay Pal on-line secure payment system, though Dawn may well change to Protx later this year.

The site went live in November 2004 and was indexed by Google within the first week. In the period up to Christmas Dawn was able to take an extra £500 in on-line business and now has customers across the UK, many of whom repeat buy. With the help of Swansea Bay IT Support Centre, Dawn adapted her on-line marketing strategy to use Google Adwords more effectively - by creating multiple Adwords for targeted keywords, instead of using a general Adword for multiple keywords.

Having had a successful Christmas Dawn is now looking to maintain the momentum and after receiving numerous enquiries from her website, generate more sales in 2005.

“Swansea Bay IT’s (Alun John) help has been invaluable, and has led to increased business, better exposure on the web and a massive improvement in my webstats.” Dawn Williams

Update (Feb, 2006)
Dawn had an extremely successful 2005 and managed to significantly increase her turnover. Christmas 2005 was a bumper period for her and she even had to turn business away as she didn’t have the capactiy to cope with it. She has invested wisely in new machinery and is looking forward to an even better 2006.
