ICT Advisory Service
The Swansea Bay IT Support Centre provides an impartial advisory service that can assist your business in selecting and using the most appropriate Information Communication Technologies (ICT).
Our advisers are highly qualified and have a broad understanding of the industry and the needs of businesses with regards ICT. We provide information and guidance on:
- Broadband - Email, Modems, Routers, Wireless
- IT Security - Anti Virus, Firewall, Encryption
- Networking - Cabling, Wireless
- Hardware - Desktop PCs, Laptops, Printers, Digital Cameras
- Software - Accounts, Databases, Spreadsheets, Word Processing, Digital Imagery
Typically, advisers will meet clients at their premises, or where not feasible at our Swansea office, and try to identify the client’s IT needs.
Free advice is available over the telephone. Subsidised implementation support is available from £55 (half day) or £100 (full day).
There are a range of demonstration facilities available at the Centre, which advisers are able to show clients how to use, including:
• Various electronic storage media devices such as CD re-writers, DVD ROM, Zip Drives, memory sticks etc
• Digital cameras & Scanners
• Mobile communication devices, such as WAP phones, PDA’s etc
• CD-ROM marketing tools and multimedia training packages
• Laptop and Desktop PCs
• Various printers including inkjet and laser
• Network devices such as hubs, cabling, network cards and wireless devices etc
• Broadband
